THE CRIT NASTY CREW
Leea Johnson (They/Them)
There is a hospital somewhere in Verdugo Hills, California where - over the course of some years - a quartet of powerful siblings all bearing the last name Johnson were born. Leea was the first of such siblings to enter the world, and things have certainly never been the same since. Leea is not only an incredible advocate and a powerful resource - having both a Bachelor and working on Masters in Social Work - they are also a hilarious and engaging Dungeons and Dragons player. Off the pod, Leea spends their time advocating for reproductive rights in their current home state of Arkansas, contributing to the vibrancy and wellness of the LGBTQIA+ community there, and watching the same 5 NPR Tiny Desk concerts on repeat. You can find Leea in several Ominous media podcasts, appearing both as a part of the Crit Nasty Crew and sometimes co-host of The Night Shift. Leea brings their own personal brand of quirky, heartfelt humor to every episode of Crit Nasty, and has played iconic characters including warlock influencers, kid Pixie Stick dealers, a mediocre mouse detective, and a slew of other characters in the two campaigns they’ve been the Dungeon Master for. Find Leea on Instagram @leea_bean, and follow their advocacy business @fitzandbean to shop cool handmade jewelry and support reproductive justice in Arkansas.
Carley Johnson (She/Her)
Carley, the second of the four most powerful siblings on earth, is a creative currently living in California and working in the entertainment industry. You can point out her name on the silver screen in recent DreamWorks features The Bad Guys and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and several upcoming Sony Animation films. Do it - take a picture and tag her on Instagram @curleyjohnson, she’ll love it. While working full time in animation creative development, Carley also carries Ominous Media on her shoulders as the editor for all of their podcasts, and the producer and main Dungeon Master of Crit Nasty. Catch Carley doing her best to whomp her siblings and/or make them cry in several seasons of Crit Nasty including - really putting her Theatre degree from Carnegie Mellon University to good use. When not doing one of her millions of full time jobs, Carley can be found making PowerPoints for fun and forcing her friends to sit through them, and writing Sonamy fanfiction (That’s Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose Hedgehog - don’t look it up, Carley’s crazy). Shoutout to Carley’s fiancé, Harley, and their two cats for supporting both her incredibly niche hobbies and her full work schedule.
Maggie Johnson (She/Her)
Maggie Johnson is a loose canon both in real life and as a player on Crit Nasty. Though Maggie has a business degree and is currently working in Boston, she really wants you to know only one thing about her aspirations for the future: “I want to rule the world and make a whole lot of money doing it… Ethically.” So that’s Maggie, and she brings that same energy to every character she plays on Crit Nasty including a six-year-old bully, an anthropomorphic cow wench, and an old science-teacher-turned-bird-watcher. Maggie is also the social media manager for Crit Nasty and wants you to go follow @critnasty_pod on both Instagram and Tiktok, places where you can get your fix of Crit Nasty content outside of our weekly episodes. On an unrelated note, Maggie had a few other things that she wanted mentioned in this bio, including but not limited to the fact that she has eczema, she loves to sing and is really good at it, is an Aquarius-Pisces cusp (the cusp is key), is the original cat lady, and - finally - simply the word “icon.”
Levi Johnson (They/He/She)
The final of the “Fantastic Four” as they are commonly known - there is, of course, no other recognizable group that goes by that name - is Levi. Levi is currently an undergraduate animation student at the School of Visual Art Manhattan where they have completed a 2D animated short film and are currently working on their second one. Levi has very discerning tastes and enjoys curating a personal aesthetic to go along with their exquisite mullet, tasting chai lattes around New York’s cafes, and developing impossible crushes while perusing dating apps. Levi has created every piece of artwork for Crit Nasty to date, and has also played a palatable variety of shitheads on the pod including a burnout grocery store manager, a garage-band metalhead, and the world’s first emo. Levi is the self-proclaimed trade of the season (if you know, you know), and despite their introverted nature often find people telling them their life’s story for no reason. Follow Levi’s art Instagram @owofruit and tell them everything they could ever want to know about you - I’m sure they’ll love it!
